Rock Chalk Championship

It's been a couple of weeks since we returned home, but I thought I would post some pictures of our road to the Final Four! We spent 4 nights in San Antonio for the Championship and it was 4 nights well worth the money. The riverwalk was a great place to have the tourney and the weather was awesome.

After the game, confetti blowing up everywhere, we won. Nick, Mo, Jeff and I missed alot of the best confetti pics because we were jumping up and down celebrating the history we had just watched. Rock Chalk Jayhawk!!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We sent out cards, but I was cheap and only bought 25 of the picture cards. So some people got regular cards. I will post my card on here so you can see what it looked like!

We put Booker on our card because we threw it together quick and didn't get time for a family picture!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween from Booker! He is in his lovely pumpkin costume. I thought I would post a few pictures so you could see how happy he is in it. Jeff loves the costume too. Booker is very excited to answer the door tomorrow night in his costume. He will try to scare the kids, but I don't know if that is possible!

New Furniture!!

So now that I know that I have some following, I guess I can post a few more things!! So below I am posting pictures of our new furniture.. Now that I have most of it, I can put some pics on here....

Here is the couch and loveseat with the cocktail leather ottoman.

Over in the corner is the chair with the crazy print.. I was worried about it, but it turned out great and it's my favorite part of the room.. Notice the cute dog and husband on the right! They are my favorite too:)

Now moving on to the bedroom furniture.. which I also love. It's so great to have the king size bed now.. Mom spotted the coverlett.

Lack of posts

Ok so I haven't posted anything in ages.. I promise I will post pictures of the new furniture soon! I need to get some new Booker pics on here too..

Redecorating!! Part 2

Since we now have the Kitchen and Hallway painted, I thought I would post some pictures of our new kitchen color! It's quite a bit different from the 2 tone orange that was in there before. I am getting used to it finally and it will make a big difference when I find things for the walls!!

I will post more pictures when our new furniture comes in!! Finally after 2 years we will have some furniture!!!

Redecorating!!

At the McDaniel house these days we are doing lots of work!! We have just bought new living room and bedroom furniture! So after that we knew that it was time to paint before it was delivered. Instead of taking the 4 months that it took us to do the basement, we decided to hire it done. What a great feeling that is. Monday I came home from work and the bedroom was done and Tuesday my surprise was the living room!! It's raining a little in Lawrence right now so I am hoping for the Kitchen today!! Cross your fingers. Below are some pictures of the bedroom.. we don't have the new furniture yet.. but just imagine it with a King size bed!

I will update with progress on other roooms as soon as they are done!

Sugery :*(

Booker had his first major surgery yesterday! He is doing better today and is ready to play but he isn't supposed to play for 7 days. During his neuter they went ahead and took out some baby teeth that the doctor didn't think were going to fall out on their own, so he is in a little more pain than usual. The poor little guy has to be cooped up all day with no toys because his teeth will not heal if he chews on them. I am sure he will be ready to go in no time, I can't wait till he feels better. It's much more fun when he is happy.

Another part of the surgery was the IV... which unfortunately goes in his front leg and they have to shave his hair there. So the picture above you can see the arrow on his left front let where they shaved him. He looks like a poodle on that one leg. It will grow back one of these days. But it ruined his pretty haircut!!

Easter Weekend

Our family spent the weekend down at the lake for Easter. It was the first time all of the dogs were in the same house for a couple of days! It was too cold to do much outside, but we all managed to stay warm. We took a walk on Saturday and had Easter dinner on Sunday. Nothing much but relaxing, we all can't wait to go when it's warm though. Here is are a couple of pictures from the weekend.

It was a fun weekend. We headed to Indy afterwards to hang out with Jeff's parents. They just got a brand new Boston Terrier and she is tiny compared to Booker. Jeff's sister's puppy was there too. Zoe (Jeff's mom's) and Diego loved playing with Booker, but Booker was 3 times their size. I will post pictures of them the next time I take pictures of them. I didn't get any pictures on Sunday!

Booker is losing his teeth!

So Booker has now started to lose his teeth. I haven't found any around the house, but they are gone. His new teeth are growing in, which is good since his baby teeth were very sharp!! The only problem I am having is that his top two front teeth aren't falling out. The new ones are coming in and the old ones are wiggly, but not coming out. Jeff keeps laughing at me because I am trying to play with him to get them to come out! HOpefully he won't have 4 teeth instead of 2 front teeth.

I don't have any pictures of this because he won't sit still long enough to take a picture and that might be kind of weird anyways!

We all can't wait for next weekend at the lake so that all 4 dogs in the family will be able to get together and play! It should be interesting. Too bad it's a little too cold for them to go swimming. Wally will be the only one that is probably not too chicken.

So this is in reverse order but here are some pictures of Booker before his haircut! He looks completely different now! It almost looks like he was sad because his hair was soo long!!

Booker's First Haircut!!

Today at lunch Arie took Booker to his first haircut! She took him by her office to meet all of her co-workers first, which he loved, and then off to the Groomer. I was a little bit worried about how it would go since he is kind of little, but they said he did great and was a brave little guy. He also seemed like he was a favorite around there office since 3 of the people at their office were giving him kisses and telling him goodbye. They told me that they didn't want to give him back. Apparently the owners of Christal K-9 have had a few Mini Schnauzers in their day and really have a love for them! Here are some pictures of his new haircut. I think he probably lost a pound in hair!!

Booker's Favorite Place to Hang Out

Ever since we got Booker he has had a favorite place to be. His favorite place happens to be under the bed. Not just our bed, but any bed in the house! He sometimes plays under the bed or just lays under the skirt of the bed! Here he is after Wally left laying under the bed snoozing!

Wally came to visit!!

This post is also a bit late by a couple of weeks! But the weekend of my Birthday Wally, Nick and Morgan came to visit us. It was a fun visit for the two cousins to get to know each other and wear each other out! Wally was about double the size of Booker and their birthday's are only 4 days apart. Amazing how puppies can grow so fast. Here are some of the pictures of them getting to know each other and learning to have fun together!

Rock Chalk Jayhawk!!

So this post is a few weeks late, but I thought I would post anyways! This past year during the Kansas Jayhawk basketball season, Jeff and I have been lucky enough to go to many home games! It has been a blast since neither of us had been to that many games since we were students. So I thought I would post some pictures of our last home games this year! We got to go with my Mom and Dad so it was a fun one! We rolled all over Nebraska at this particular game.
