Mr. McBaby Ultrasound 18 Weeks

Here are the Ultrasound pictures of Mr. McBaby today! He is an active little bugger, but I am not able to feel it yet! The pictures are pretty good... but the ones of the face are not so good, so watch out they look a little alien like :) He is pretty cute overall. We also got confirmation that it's a boy for sure, you can see below!

McBaby is 18 Weeks

Here is the pic of me at 18 weeks.. I feel like I am bigger than the pictures show. It's kinda weird... I guess it's because my waist is much bigger than when I used to look down on it so it's really evident to me. This week marked the first week I wore maternity pants and a shirt. I tried a couple of shirts and they were too short!

Tomorrow morning we go to our next Ultrasound where we will have picture confirmation of the sex and get all of his measurements! We are very excited to see him tomorrow! I haven't felt any kicking yet, so it will be exciting to see him moving around in there again. Right now he is the length of a bell pepper (5.5 inches) and he weighs 3 ounces.
Again I have to post a great pic of my nephew Ewan from the weekend.. I have some really great ones of him! Next time I need to get some of Benon too, I didn't get a chance to snap some pics of him this weekend!

15 weeks!

Here is the pic of 15 weeks... I think from now on I will post every 2 weeks with pictures! We are 16 weeks this week, but I don't think I will get around to a pic. Leaving for Chicago tomorrow! McBaby is the size of an Avacado this week :)!

I am also posting a picture of my nephew, Ewan, who is super duper cute! This is the picture that Auntie Mo sent me. Ewan was showing his Aunt Steph the best positions to sleep with her Snoodle! I have this pic saved on my desktop just because it's soo darn cute!! Thanks Aunt Mo! McBaby can't wait to meet his cousin!

It's a BOY!

McBaby is officially a BOY! We had some early testing done for Down Syndrome and Cystic Fibrosis and all were low risk. One of the other positives to living in Houston is the proximity to the latest medical advances, so we decided to take advantage. We took the "Jack and Jill" test so our doctor called it, or the DNA Fetal Gender Determination Test at the Center for Medical Genetics here in Houston. It's a test that can tell you the gender of your baby as early as 11 weeks! So we now know that we are having a BOY and can start planning ahead for him. We would have known a week earlier, but we forgot to call the hotline to listen (we were busy at the rodeo).

Also today, at 14 weeks 5 days, we had another appointment with the doctor. All was good and Mr. McBaby's heart rate was at 164, which the doctor mentioned was good and strong. She laughed, said he was excited and wanted to know what I had for lunch.. I told her I had Cheese It's for a snack and she decided he was just ready for dinner!

I don't have any pictures for this post, but we will have some good ones in the next month since we have our full Ultra Sound coming up!

14 weeks! Do my pants look too tight?!?!?

Well at 14 weeks, I have a pair of pants that will not be lasting me much longer! Luckly I have the Bella Band that is allowing me to wear my pants for now. I don't look too pregnant, just think I am thicker in the middle. With the baby the size of a lemon, I guess it's ok for now. It's nice to officially be out of the first trimester and headed into the 2nd. Our next doctor's appointment is Monday!

Here is the picture of me to document. Keep in mind that this picture is closer up than the last, we might need to mark the floor so that it's always the same.. we switched camera's too so I swear that made a difference! Oh well McBaby is growing!

Rodeo March 2010: Part 1

The rodeo has kicked into full blast for us! It is keeping Jeff busy, entertaining lots of people coming in town and Monday, March 8, he will be judging the tractor technician competition. One of his dealorships is a sponsor at the Rodeo and you can see their booth pictures below. Pretty cool that they are such a big part of the Rodeo and that John Deere is the only equipment seen during the rodeo. Big deal considering $1.8M people will come through the rodeo!

Rodeo carnival, looks like fun but not for us this year!

Jason Aldean - What a great concert, it was much better than I expected and I knew more songs than I thought!

We are pretty excited for the next bunch of concerts. Jeff is going to Tim McGraw and we are both going to Rascal Flatts, Toby Keith, and Keith Urban! Excited to see what the Action seats have in store for us! 4th row and with my new camera should get some great pics and video!

McBaby has gone public and so have the blog entries!

Now that we have officially spread the news, the pregnancy updates on the blog can begin. I am following a fellow blogger's format and filling you in on the past 12.5 weeks!

Week 1-3: Had some feelings in weeks 2-3 that something might be going on in my belly, some people might call me crazy. I knew it wasn't normal.

Dec 28: Wk 3 day 5 drove home from Christmas in Independence and decided to find out once and for all if what I was feeling was true, and guess what 2 lines = pregnant. It took a few pregnancy tests to really believe it, but my feelings were right.

Wk 4-5: Letting it sink it that we were pregnant!

Jan 10: Yaya and Papoo Schroeder came into town and got to see the good news.

Jan 14: Grandma and Grandpa McDaniel came into town and got to see the good news!

Here are the pictures of the good news~!

Wk 6-8: Things are going great here, gearing up for our first appointment on Jan 29.

Jan 29: First appoinment, which included our first ultrasound. We found out we were due very close to what we thought (we thought sept 7), the official date is September 8, 2010. We were 8 weeks 2 days along. The babies heart beat was a strong 170. Below are the first u/s pics.

That night after our ultrasound we shared the good news with Nick and Morgan, Melissa and Britton and we tried to call Angela. We also told Janet and our Grandparents! So Fun!
Wk 10 - Feb 12: 2nd appointment, which included blood testing and hearing the heart beat on the Doppler and it was 164 that day!
Wk 11-12: These weeks come with a breath of fresh air.. I am almost out of the first trimester and I am feeling good!
March 1: Additional testing on the baby which means another ultrasound! Ultrasound looked great and the heartbeat was 159 today. Jeff and I both think it's a girl.. we don't know why, but we do! Below are the u/s pics from today's ultrasound. Look at that cute little head, nose and mouth!! We saw the brain, 2 hands, 2 feet, nose, lips, baby waving, the heartbeat, stomach and bladder! Looked great!

Here is the first picture we took of me at 11 weeks... I need to get another one taken at 13 weeks. I don't think it has changed much, but I feel bigger!

Keep watching the blog for additional McBaby updates!

The many places that Booker LOVES!

So I have been meaning to write this post for a while, and I now have quite the collection of photos! I want to share just how special and funny our dog is! He really is one of a kind and we love him so much! I don't know what we would do without Mr. Booker around.

Below he has his head under the blanket a new thing that he loves, and in a warmer climate, I don't think he is used to the cold anymore either!!

I think we put the blanket on top of him in this one, but he doesn't do anything to move it. Here he is sitting next to his daddy, the usual spot. Most nights he has to be right beside one of us!

Here he is at Mom and Dad's house getting ready for a night of watching movies. Funny guy!

Here he is laying in the chair at my Mom and Dad's house, needless to say the dogs aren't really supposed to lay on this chair :) He does anyway!

This one below is a classic, I was laying in bed and up jumps Booker. Usually he finds a place to lay on the bed, but tonight he decided it was the pillows he wanted. I don't think he would have moved if I hadn't made him. Now as soon as I get out of bed he is on my pillows, he loves pillows and blankets just like his mom!

Here is Booker propped on his thrown of pillows in his Doggie Snuggie courtesy of the White Family! Thanks guys! Here he is also in one of his usual spots, if there is a mound of Pillows you will find Booker right in the middle. Too Funny!

When we are working on the Computer Mr. Booker usually wants to be right there and sometimes he gives us the paw tap on the keyboard to get us to pay attention to him. On this night he was helping me get some work done. He is so adamant about sitting next to me that he layed on my work papers and didn't mind at all!

He even likes fresh towels out of the dryer. Here I caught him snuggling up to them while they were still warm. What a snuggly guy he has become!

Another Pillow shot, as usual!

Here is one of my favorites that I caught last week while I was getting ready for work. Jeff didn't sleep well the night before so he was really tired. He fell asleep snuggling with Booker and I thought it was a great picture. He won't be happy that I posted, but it's too cute not to!

SNUGGLE BUGS!
Ahhhh 3 blankets and some pillows, this is heaven!
So this is Booker and his favorite places! What we do without the entertainment of this funny guy!
